I haven't kicked corporate america to the curb, but I am a liveaboard (Irwin 33 sailboat) and cruise as much as possible. I have a 7yr old son (pirate in training), I am an RN, and work as diabetes self-management educator (DSME). I got rid of the wife to get the boat, HA HA, and as Jimmy Buffett sings in a "Pirate Looks At Forty", I go for younger women. I don't however let them live on the boat! When I'm not cruising, I'm thinking about it. My favorite line from Pirates of the Caribbean is when Jack and Elizabeth are marooned and he tells her (I'm paraphrasing), "a ship is not just a hull, sails, and rigging. That's what a ship needs, what a ship is....is freedom". | |
