Be Positive - Pirate Lifestyle TV Episode 018

Posted on June 10, 2010 at 8:58 AM Comments comments (2)

Ahoy Matey!

I created and uploaded Episode 018 of Pirate Lifestyle TV. I use a John Wooden quote (I always start each Episode with a quote),

"The more concerned we become over the things we can't control, the less we will do with the things we can control."

I discuss staying focused, being concerned with what I can control. Marshall Wayne thanks for the idea!! I still rag on B.P. Arrr.

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits: 12 years maximum, one of the possible options below.

     A. Two six year Senate terms

     B. Six Two year House terms

     C. One six-year Senate term and three two-year House terms.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

2. No Tenure / No Pension:

Congressman collect a salary while in office and receive no pay when they are out of office.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home andback to work.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security:

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, server your term(s), then go home andback to work.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just like all Americans.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home andback to work.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.

Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home andback to work.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home andback to work.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home andback to work.

8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with congressmen; congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

Visit the Florida sugar-sand beach before Oil hits

Today, I dropped a visiting cruiser off at the grocery store, because they needed to restock their sailboat. I had some time, while she shopped at Publix, so I decided to spend it at the beach. Enjoying the sounds, sights, and smells of the beautiful gulf coast beaches. Storing them in my memory, because the BP oil disaster is moving closer to the shore.

All New Quickie on Pirate Lifestyle TV

Posted on May 26, 2010 at 8:41 AM Comments comments (3)

Ahoy,

I discovered a need and therefore decided to add a new format to Pirate Lifestyle TV.

In addition to the normal 9 to 10 minute Episodes, I have added Quickie shows. Often, something pops in my head or I think of something that I would like to share, and I would like to share it quickly. So.....I created Quickies to share a thought, an idea, fast! My goal is to keep Quickies in the 2 to 2-and-a-half minute range.

This is the first Quickie and it is 3 minutes long because I spend approximately 40 seconds explaining the new format, the quickie.
